Just a heads up, the U.S. stock market is taking a break on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. Trading will resume at 9:30am tomorrow, May 30th.

Investors have been on the edge of their seats, engrossed in what's happening with the U.S. debt-ceiling drama. But hey, things seem to be looking up a bit. Talks in Washington have shown some promise, indicating that an agreement might just be around the corner to save us from a disastrous default situation. Phew!

Now, when it comes to trading, it's been quite a roller coaster ride for U.S. debt, especially those short-term Treasury bills. You see, there's this June 1 "X-date" that everyone's talking about, which is when Treasury Secretary Janet predicts that the government might run out of cash to pay its bills.

Ford's huge deal with Tesla (5 minute read)
Ford Motor Company (F) struck an electric deal with Tesla (TLSA) - Ford-produced electric vehicles will now be able to charge up at Tesla Supercharger stations in the U.S. and Canada. Talk about convenience! The agreement is scheduled to kick in during the spring of 2024, so we'll have to wait a bit, but hey, good things are worth the wait, right? Tesla shares got a nice little boost too, jumping up by 4.7% after this electrifying news. Ford was also up by 6.2%.

American investment fund, 777 Partners, are considering throwing their hat in the ring for UK soccer team, Sheffield United, the newbies of the Premier League!
