🟩 Stocks at Record Highs
Markets climbed Thursday, fueled by strong earnings and upbeat retail sales. The S&P 500 hit a fresh record, while the Nasdaq logged its fourth straight all-time high. The Dow isn't far behind, now just 1% from a new peak.

Retail sales jumped 0.6% in June, signaling solid consumer demand, but that strength might delay any Fed rate cuts. Meanwhile, Trump denied reports he plans to fire Fed Chair Powell, though he kept up his criticism.

🤔 Peter Thiel Is Betting Big on This Ethereum Treasury Stock
Bitmine Immersion (BMNR) surged over 20% after Peter Thiel revealed a 9.1% stake tied to its Ethereum treasury strategy. His backing, fresh off the company’s $250M raise and Tom Lee’s appointment as chairman, sent investor sentiment soaring.

Meanwhile, SharpLink Gaming is going all-in on ETH, upping its stock sale limit to $6B to buy more Ether, already adding $515M in just nine days. If fully executed, SharpLink could own nearly 1.4% of ETH’s entire circulating supply.

These treasury companies are following the Microstrategy playbook with Ethereum, which has sent the price of ETH skyrocketing over the past few weeks.

📈 China says successful US trade talks make return to tariff war unnecessary
China’s Commerce Minister is calling for calm, not conflict, in trade talks with the U.S., emphasizing cooperation over confrontation. Wang Wentao said recent European meetings proved a tariff war isn’t necessary, and urged Washington to act like the global leader it claims to be.

With an August 12 deadline looming, failure to reach a deal could reignite massive tariffs, potentially over 100%, threatening global supply chains once again, but markets are optimistic.

🤖 Lucid Stock Soars 36% on Robotaxi Partnership With Uber
Uber is teaming up with Lucid and Nuro to launch a fleet of self-driving robotaxis, aiming to deploy 20,000 vehicles over the next six years. The first cars will hit a major U.S. city in late 2026. Lucid stock exploded 36% on the news, while Uber stayed steady after last week’s record high.
