Warren Buffet Investing Advice
In Ben Carlson’s recent blog post, he does a great job highlighting Warren Buffett’s timeless wisdom on long-term investing.
In a world where the median investor spends just six minutes researching a stock and flips it within months, Buffett stood out by holding businesses like American Express (since 1964) and Coke (since 1988) for decades. His success, compounding at 19.9% annually for over 60 years, wasn’t driven by predictions, but by temperament and patience.
As Buffett said, “Nobody knows what the market will do tomorrow… but they spend all their time talking about it.” The key? Extend your time horizon, ignore the noise, and stay in the game long enough for compounding to do the heavy lifting.
